CATALINA MIA
PAINTER & FASHION DESIGNER
Catalina Mia is a contemporary painter and fashion designer whose work explores identity, movement, and emotional transformation through color, texture, and wearable form. Born in Eastern Europe and shaped by life across the Middle East and Asia, her practice is influenced by intercultural exchange and personal migration. With a background in intercultural communication, she uses art as a visual language that bridges cultures and lived experiences. Working across painting and hand-painted garments, she combines expressive abstraction with figurative elements to create works that reflect resilience, femininity, and inner strength. Her practice blurs the boundaries between fine art and fashion, transforming canvases and clothing into intimate, narrative surfaces.
Catalina Mia creates limited, hand-painted fashion pieces, treating clothing as an extension of the canvas. Her work has been presented through exhibitions, curated platforms, and digital showcases, reaching an international audience. She continues to explore painting, fashion, and design while engaging with themes of inclusivity and cultural dialogue. Guided by intuition and process, her artistic philosophy values authenticity over perfection and challenges mass production. Each piece is created as a one-of-a-kind work, inviting viewers to experience art as something lived, worn, and felt rather than simply observed.
